I went to Petco today and got my guinea pig Buddy a friend. They seem to be doing well though thet're still establishing dominance. No actual fighting yet or biting (lets hope it stays that way). Once I find my camera I'll try to put some pics up - they're really cute when they both are just chilling in their house with their heads sticking out.

It's not officialy official since I havent gotten the letter yet, but I have been offered a per diem position at AMR! Now i just have to take a drug/lift test, get paid roughly $400 to get fitted for a uniform and (i think) take a course in driving ambulances, and then get NH/National certified.

In other news, the apt is great! So much nicer than the old one. and No offense to Caitlin or Haz, but i think its going to be better living w/ my new roomates. I mean, I have roughly 11 other people within a footstep away who i can hang out with. there was massive cleaning this past weekend, along with massive partying, and the first actual hangover for moi. Eww... gross... never doing it again. but still overall fun. It looks like the apt is gonna get a brand new coat of paint every where, and we're going to make it real nice.

As a side note, i'll be in worcester next weeeknd to EMS reunion weekend if anyone would like to hang out friday/sat night.

First off, I'll actually tell a bit about myself since i last updated, and then i'll get to the real reason for updating....

I finished soph year (actually passing all my classes) then went to holland almost immediatly after school got out. That was fun, a bunch of family, biking, cafes, some new people met, very relaxing. except for the bike ride with my dad that included i think 2.5 km through hte dunes... real dunes... not dunes with a path through them... We had to drag our bikes through 1.5 km of sand mountains... not so fun... but spending time with my dad was. Next day we went to amsterdam, more walking, him showing me where he used to go to school/live, more cafes and drinking, overdue bonding time... the next night i got woken up to EMT for him and his almost heart attack. Can I just say I've neverfelt a heart go that fast?

But yea, holland was fun. The first night was conserated by me going to a greek place w/ papa and joke adn her family and the place giving us shots of this licorice stuff right away.

I got back home and left the next day for worcester where I did Graduation and moved out of my apartment and into my new one. Its nice... left kinda dirty, needs some repairs and paint, but much better then the old place.

Now i'm back in the port waiting till the 31st and my interview w/ AMR. Wish me luck...

So i was livejournal stalking and i realised that I havent posted anything of substance in about a month. Don't get your hopes up for substance, but here is an update none-the-less.


First and most exciting; I am Operations Lt for WPI EMS.... ! I wont be sworn in till next week, but i've already began my duties. It's pretty sweet. I've even got a key to the officers office. I feel special.

oh.. and Rachael is personel ("2 n's.. i think... or is it 2 s'" <--Rachael..) and Dusty is chief and Lauren is Service.

Break went well. classes did not. This term's classes are ok. Orgo Lab, Neurobiology and American Modernism. I like Orgo lab, which is surprising cus i hated orgo, and american modernism is ok. I havent gotten into Neuro as much as I should but i'm hoping to change that.

so... Saint Patty's day was crazy... sadly we left Rach out bc she was at fire school... but it was mad fun. Colin's friend Sebastian came up from tufts, and we had a huge party at matt's..... almost all matt's roomies ended up partying with us, massive amounts of beruit were played, beer ws drunk, and jess got drunk.... yes.... i was drunk for the first time ever.. it was fun. I got like..9 boys to go ot PC hopper with me and then to a playground at like... 4:30 in the morning. Twas mucho fun.

Since rachael is watching me type, and we both have homework... i'm going to stop typing so we do it.

It's finals week, and as per usual I have left all my learning to the last minute. I've got about 2 pages of a paper to write by tonight and then genetics and orgo to study for. I haven't punched the numbners, but i think there may be a chance of me passing orgo... it's not a huge chance, but a chance none the less.. why can't i be good at orgo? Oh well, i'm not gonna sweat it too much.

So lets see... It's been about 3 weeks since i last posted, and true to their word, the state has told me about my EMT test... it's as i thought... i passed... !... yay! hehe.. So now I have to get the phone number and code from my mom and call promisor so that i can take the written portion of my test. If i apass that, i will be an EMT!!

Elections didnt turn out so well... No one has heard anything on who was elected, but Matt got kicked off EMS by the chief of police and because of that elections are being redone. completely... I'm still gonna try even though i dont hold much hope for getting the position, but oh well... I'll still work to make the squad better even if i'm not an officer. I mean, right now, people barely know eachotehr let alone say hi when they walk past on their way to class, half the newbies cant take blood pressure OR pulse, and we're lacking in some other genral areas. To top it off, right now we only have 2 officers... true Batz will be back next term, but how much do you really think shes gonna do? oh well..

Things with Colin are nice. I'm glad i didnt do as i decided originally and be single for a while. It's sad that i dont know exactly when we started going out, but it's been a little longer than a month, and i can feel safe saying i'm more than just a 4 week fling. :cP For valentines day he gave me a pink carnation, and it was really nice. made me smile alot, but then again, he generally has that affect on me. The funny thing about the carnation is that i guess Rach and Paul went with him when COlin got it, and tehy were telling him what not to get in regards to flowers (aka no roses, only one, etc). It seems kinda random except i've had conversations with both of them about flowers and such and its nice that they tried to make sure he did the right thing. I love my friends.

What else can i say to continue procrastinating... oh, for dinner I had A rockin' moraccin (or however you spell it) from Boomers, the sub shop next door. its chicken, sald, garlic dressing, and french fries rolled up in a HUGE pita bred thing. Sounds kinda gross, but its actually half decent.. i think it would be better with ranch instead, so maybe i'll try that sometime.

OK. i think i'm going to write my paper now.. or play snood... I have a registered version now... its nice... so i might play that.. yea, i'll do a game fo that and then write my paper.... Geez its hard being a procrastinator... :cP
